Trusting the Gold by Tara Brach

When you need permission to be imperfect. Or when you need to be reminded to see the good in others (and yourself). 

I discovered Tara Brach through Maria Popova's Brain Pickings (now The Marginalian), then started listening to a few of her talks online. When I picked up this book, I was looking for a balm because the world felt gloomy and dark. 

This book delivered exactly that.

Short reflective essays woven with stories, meditation prompts, and beautiful illustrations ... loosely organised around truth, love and freedom. 

Some essays made me think differently about myself, my problems, the situations I was stuck in. All of them helped me feel less tight, more open. More lightness.
